Pictures at 40+ weeks

Due Date is Today: November 12th...Still no Baby!

Hey Everyone!  So, it is November 12th today, baby's due date...and he's still not here.  I've always heard that first-time moms mostly deliver late, but it is still disappointing...especially because I've been having Braxton Hicks contractions for 20 weeks now!  Plus...my doctor was convinced I would deliver before the 39th week...and here I am...just finishing up the 40th week.  SOOO....I guess only God really knows when this baby will come.  It is difficult waiting, but we are so thankful for all of your prayers for us and this little guy.  We prayed he would be full-term and we are grateful that he wasn't born too early!  

It's funny, cause I read in my pregnancy newsletter that his fingernails are longer than his fingertips now...so I guess he is scratching his way around in there.  We've already made two trips to the hospital in the last week to get checked (once in Labor and Delivery), plus a doctor's appointment--they keep telling me to come in because I have so many contractions.  My contractions WERE very close together:  every 2-4 minutes...and then they would slowly ease up.  Now they are every 15-20 minutes or so.  I am wondering how I will ever know if I am really in labor...because I have fit the "profile" several times already of a woman in active labor...only for it to stop and for me to be sent home.  So, now I try to just ignore the contractions and go back to sleep...I don't want to be sent home again.  Plus, I feel so bad... whenever I talk to anyone on the phone they always say..."Anything different?"  or "Any more contractions?"  and when I tell them no, I can hear disappointment in their voices...and I hate disappointing people.  Somehow I feel like it is my fault....but I know that isn't true.  We just all want to meet this little guy.  

SOOO...Please pray that little guy will come soon...and only in God's timing.  Also, for a safe and healthy delivery for me and the baby (and that he isn't too big)!  I guess this has to be my motto verse from now on:  "Wait for the Lord; Be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord".... Psalm 27:14.  We love you guys and know that he can't stay in there till college... that gives me some hope!  Hehehe....    

Halloween Fun and Still Pregnant, 2009

Hello everyone! Here are some pictures of our Halloween with my parents. I was a kitty cat...and I claim that there are at least 6 kitties in my tummy. And if you check out the pumpkin vs. tummy picture, you will see that I am even bigger than the pumpkin! I am about 38 and a half weeks pregnant here. Petey was his usual Spiderman character (hence his name...Peter Parker) and Sidney was a cute bumble bee. Cooper, my parent's dog, was himself, with a cute bandanna on. We had a great time carving pumpkins: Dad did a ghost with a candlestick, Kevin did a pirate ship, and I did a window scene with a kitty, a spider, and a carved pumpkin. We had a lot of fun!!! We hope that little baby Parker comes soon...only a week and a half left to go!!!

STAR WARS The Clone Wars Season 2

I think most of you who read this blog already know that I work at Lucasfilm. But, a lot of you may not know what I actually do there. As a video editor I put together videos to promote all the different things that the Lucas companies create. A MAJOR portion of the work I do is to support and market the animated TV show STAR WARS The Clone Wars. Today (Friday Oct. 2nd) is the season premiere of Season 2. It airs on Cartoon Network at 8pm, you should check it out, it actually is REALLY good.

Baby's Room!

Hey Family and Friends...here are some pics of the baby's room...it isn't completely done, but it is getting there! We still have a few things to put on the walls. The light was coming in the windows, so it makes it hard to see in some of the pics, but hopefully you get the idea. I'm at about 33 weeks now, so I am including some photos of me too!!! Love you guys!
Here is our cute bedding...and the crib is extra cool, because it converts into a toddler bed and then a double bed!


I love this picture because I put my naked piggy Olivia on the changing table for practice...she is so funny and looks hilarious.
This room will also be the guest room...so here is the guest bed!

I'm afraid we need more books...our bookshelf is pretty empty.
We will have this bassinet in our bedroom when the baby comes.

This rocking chair is SOOO comfy!

My mom made these curtains...red with white polka dots and they exactly match the baby bedding...they are so cute!Baby clothes!

Here is our stroller folded up...it is awesome and so light and easy to fold. It is a Baby Jogger City Mini!

We love you guys and would appreciate your prayers. The due date is November 12th and we are praying that he doesn't come too early or too late. I've still been having contractions EVERY DAY and they are getting stronger and harder, so please pray he stays in there at least another 4 weeks and even more!! Thank you!

Tummy Getting Bigger!

Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you guys see that my tummy is getting bigger. I am about 30 weeks pregnant now and only have a little ways to go!! We are excited and trying to get the baby's room all ready. Please pray for us as we get ready to bring home a new son.
