Hello Everyone! Well, today is Casey's 4 month b-day! It has gone by so fast! I am sooo very thankful because the last 3 nights, he has slept SO MUCH BETTER!!! We prayed and prayed and God is definitely helping him...and the Magic Sleepsuit is working! So, for those of you that don't know what a Magic Sleepsuit is, check out the website...they are really magical. Haha. http://www.magicsleepsuit.com/ No, but seriously, it is a blessing from God. It really IS helping him to sleep better. Soooo..how does it work?? Well, it is like a sumo-wrestler suit and it is all fuzzy and cottony and comfy and it helps him feel comforted when he wakes up in the night, so that he can put himself back to sleep. It is amazing though...he would NEVER go to sleep without his swaddler...and he does go to sleep in this suit...even though his arms are free. He can't move them too well though, because the suit is so fluffy. The first time Kev and I put it on him, we couldn't stop laughing...he looked so hilarious. We got the recommendation from the lactation nurse at Kaiser...she told us that "moms swear by them" and it is true. It does help Casey sleep better, and that is so great. He has only been eating ONCE in the night around 3am, and even waking up later, at 7am. Before, he would eat at midnight, 2, 4, and then like 5:30 and 6 and then wouldn't go back to sleep. Now he sleeps from 10 until 3, eats at 3am, and then sleeps until 7am. It is a miracle. He still wakes up sometimes and we have to put his pacifier back in, but usually he can calm himself. Now we just have to start working on getting him to GO to sleep on his own...we are still rocking him to sleep. That will be the next hurdle!
I am so thankful to all of you for your prayers. We would appreciate your prayers in the next month as well, because we are trying to find a place to rent in Redwood City to be closer to my parents and our church, and we are having a hard time finding something. We have to move out of our current rental house by April 30th! We know that God has a good plan though! Let me know if any of you are coming to this area...I would love to see you!
